McGill Compost Products

McGill's 365/24/7 climate-controlled processing delivers a uniform and consistent product for predictable results every time, and our high production volumes mean we can meet the quantity requirements of your biggest jobs any time of the year.

The Seal of Testing Assurance (STA) symbol is your assurance that your compost has been tested and certified in accordance with the United States Composting Council’s (USCC) STA program.  McGill SoilBuilder compost is tested every month to maintain its STA certification, and we are happy to provide a copy of a recent STA lab report and explain how each parameter impacts compost quality and intended use. Simply contact your sales rep.

Our premium compost products are available in bulk quantities, sold in 40-50 cubic yard loads.  For lesser quantities, please contact a McGill authorized reseller.

  • McGill SoilBuilder - our 100% premium compost, ideal for sports turf, landscaping and more. Incorporate, use as a topdressing, blend with native soil to make topsoil or include up to 30 percent in custom mixes.  SoilBuilder, the base ingredient of all McGill products,  is a registered product in the U.S. Composting Council's (USCC) Seal of Testing Assurance Program and tested monthly to meet established quality standards for compost products.
  • McGill ErosionControl - new to the McGill product family, ErosionControl offers a larger particle size to meet DOT-type specifications to absorb rainfall energy to dislodge fewer soil particles, prevent rills, and allow rainfall to filter rapidly through the compost for better absorption/percolation. This product meets USCC specifications for erosion control products.
  • McGill SportsTurf - finer screened McGill SoilBuilder for use on active playing surfaces, including athletic fields and golf courses.  For best results, core-aerate, top-dress and rake or back-drag.
  • McGill AG - an economical compost product designed for cost-effective performance in conventional agricultural, including open ground and no-till systems.
